Scalp micropigmentation is a non-surgical treatment which uses the process of implanting pigment to simulate the results of natural hair, using specialised pigments and needles.
This method has been established for over 20 years, and has a variety of applications. It can be used to simulate hair stubble on the scalp, where hair does not exist (in the case of bald or balding men, or those with receding hairlines). Or it can additional add the appearance of density to existing hair which is thinning.
​It is a non-surgical alternative to hair transplantation, but can also be used to compliment hair transplant treatments to add density post-treatment.

In the medical sphere scalp micropigmentation is also implemented in cases where hair loss is caused by alopecia, cancer or due to scars or scar tissue on the scalp.
